Job Description

Company is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accounting Director. Job responsibilities include: Prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for all users. Ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies. Prepares consolidation analysis, eliminates intercompany transactions and consolidates divisional and subsidiary financial accounts in a timely and accurate basis for inclusion in internal and external financial statements. Provides leadership and direction through Managers. Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies. Lead role in protecting assets through risk management activities and maintaining SOX compliance. Be a key business partner to his or her peers and their departments in order to facilitate continuous improvement across the division. This position will also be responsible for the safety and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Supervisor and/or manager recommendation
CPA, CMA or MBA required
At least 5 years’ experience in Accounting

Proficient with Microsoft office products and ERP systems
Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, enterprise business systems and connecting processes to systems

Skilled in the areas of cost accounting, general accounting, reporting and reconciliation
Demonstrated ability to solve problems outside of their own team, improve processes and lead with influence
A team builder and team member who motivates others by example
Trains and develops team members
Organized with a good understanding of all facets of the operation

Preferences:

Commercial Construction experience
Experience with financial consolidation including Canada and Mexico
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related.
2. CPA, CMA or MBA.
3. 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting.
4. Proficient with Microsoft office products and ERP systems.
5. Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, enterprise business systems and connecting processes to systems.
6. Commercial Construction industry experience preferred.
7. Experience with financial consolidation including Canada and Mexico preferred.
