Job Description

Required Skills:
• 84 Months Demonstrated work experience in facilitating requirement elicitation sessions and creating business requirement documentation in an application development environment.
• 84 Months Demonstrated work experience in creating functional requirements, mock-ups and process flow diagrams in an application development environment.
• 72 Months Demonstrated work experience in Quality Assurance testing software applications (both front end and back end testing).
• 84 Months Demonstrated work experience as a leader of project meetings
• 60 Months Demonstrated experience with defect tracking using a tool such as HP Quality Center.
• 36 Months Demonstrated work experience with Oracle Databases and basic SQL commands.

Description:
State of New York: Office of Mental Health/ITS
New York Incident Management Reporting System (NIMRS) - Responsible for managing requirements and enhancements to the NIMRS application.

Responsibilities:
• The Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the project manager, core technical team members and other project stakeholders and assisting with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business processes, policies and information systems and for the development of new business processes, policies and information systems.
• Create business documentation such as business requirements documents, use cases, swim lanes, and process documentation.
• Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations.
• Create, review and maintain defects and change repositories - update related test cases, workflow and other system related documentation based on defect correction and approved changes.
• Coordinate with programmers and other testers to track the progress of the current release, and assist in the creation and monitoring of project plans.
• Assist with providing training & technical support for OMH business users as needed.
• Assist the NIMRS helpdesk with resolving end user issues as needed.
