Description: Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)

Description: The Risk Management Standards and Procedures group is seeking two temporary consultants to assist with entering certificates of insurance and related documents and procedures using a web based certificate tracking system. Two business analysts are requested to help reduce the backlog of contracts that have accumulated over time due to the manual entry process.

Perform duties to support the mission of MTA RIM to track evidence of insurance for contractors working on MTA properties.
• Review, audit and transcribe insurance documents based on a prescribed format in support of MTA RIM needs
• Maintain accuracy and performance standards for data transcription
• Scan and upload evidence of insurance to web-based certificate tracking system
• Communicate and coordinate with Vendors and MTA RIM department, as described in the Complianz Process manual.
• No work will be performed within 50 feet of the right-of-way
• Work does not entail any environmental risks
• Normal office environment, no exposure to any additional risk
• Complete assignments as requested by MTA RIM
• All source files will be provided to the MTA

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
• An Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, or 4+ years' experience in an insurance environment
• Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance is preferred
• Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; a self-starter
