Job Description

Communications Coordinator ~ Full-time

Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFED) seeks an enthusiastic, creative thinker with the ability to thrive in a team environment, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects with attention to detail. We are looking for a self-starter with the initiative to see ideas come to completion.

Responsibilities:
• Write clear and persuasive copy across multiple marketing and fundraising channels
• Work collaboratively with departmental staff to collect, create, and publish content for both print and online publication
• Design and curate content for JFED’s social media channels to engage and grow JFED’s online audiences
• Maintain organization websites with updated copy, graphics, and SEO
• Create and manage online forms for event registration, donations, and surveys
• Track results of marketing campaigns through tools such as Google Analytics
• Manage Google AdWords and social media ad campaigns
• Create and manage email marketing campaigns and distribution lists
• Actively identify, engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding JFED programming and events
• Interface with the Marketing Director and Graphic Designer on other marketing projects as needed

Qualifications
• Passion for and knowledge of the Jewish community preferred, along with nonprofit or volunteer experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in marketing and/or communications; public relations experience a plus
