Job Description

Project Superintendent will be responsible for the overall supervision, coordination and performance of all project disciplines in accordance with contractual requirements. This includes but not limited to on-site coordination, safety, scheduling, construction quality control, cost management, labor management, equipment procurement and delivery, and on-site client contact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied
History of managing large projects (15+ laborers/tradesmen) (and/or multiple medium-large projects simultaneously) effectively while routinely meeting and/or beating estimated job costs
Complete understanding of construction documents and specifications for assigned project(s) including all subcontractors' scope of work
Develops, integrates and maintains project schedule effectively with other trades
Daily coordination of work activities among subcontractors and company personnel onsite
Maintains, tracks, verifies, and update project files and paperwork (onsite and electronically) including " As Built Drawings", submittal verification/shop drawings, RFI's, layout
Conducts jobsite safety evaluations
Continual observance of construction activities, noting the correctness and the overall quality of the work per the contract documents, and the refusal of sub-standard workmanship
Being a liaison to clients, inspectors, and other visitors to the project
Oversee material take-offs/procurement and proactively review budgets to determine potential variances
Coordinate site logistics, subcontractor meetings, document/coordinate governing inspections
Independently develops accounts to widen scope and generates additional revenue through upselling, estimating, pricing, and negotiation
Performs other related duties as required and assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours).

Preference will be given to individuals who possess the following:
o 10+ years of experience in the Industrial/Commercial construction industry
o 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent
o Millwright experience
o Experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Mission Critical/Critical Technology, (data centers, generator installs), machine installs, and projects with complex mechanical, electrical and other building systems
Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite

Travel 60% to 75%

1. 10+ years of experience in the Industrial/Commercial construction industry.
2. 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
3. Millwright experience.
4. Experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Mission Critical/Critical Technology, (data centers, generator installs), machine installs, and projects with complex mechanical, electrical and other building systems.
