Required: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with five (5) years of related work experience in visual arts and event management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with art and graphic design, curating art exhibitions, as well as the supervisory management of vendors and volunteers.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred: A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, as are membership with several professional art affiliations.

Salary & Benefits: Starting Salary is $47,498.66 per the Santa Fe College Salary Schedule. Promotional placement is not limited to the posted salary range maximum. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

Santa Fe College’s Cultural Programs manages and maintains the art inventory of the Santa Fe College Foundation, operates the historic Spring Arts House located in downtown Gainesville, and enriches Alachua and Bradford counties through the design, development and execution of various cultural events and activities that enhance the community’s cultural appreciation and economic development.

The Coordinator, Cultural Programs provides leadership in the development of the college-wide Visual and Performing arts sponsorships, the Fine Arts Patron’s program, directing and producing cultural community events including the administration of the Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival, management of the historic Spring Arts House, as well as the development and maintenance of the Santa Fe College Foundation art collection.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop college-wide sponsorship and fundraising opportunities including scholarships.
• Maintain the development, implementation and execution of various cultural community and special events in Bradford and Alachua counties that provide meaningful outreach to and engagement of residents within SF’s service districts.
• Organize, implement and manage the Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival held annually in Gainesville, Florida.
• Manage and maintain the SF Spring Arts House while exhibiting an understanding of cultural usage and historical preservation with the objective of expanding utilization of the facility for donor and college events.
• Implement and manage marketing materials and advertising campaigns including the creation of press releases. Continue to develop the Santa Fe College Fine Arts Patrons Program and the Take-A-Seat program.
• Coordinate and evaluate the college-wide art collection.
• Provide and promote service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
