• Lead the intrusion detection program. Monitor the ongoing environment including the analysis of network activity and system logs.

• Perform audits and vulnerability analysis.

• Perform investigations of security events and forensics as necessary, provides analysis results, and develops and implements remediation plans.

• Identify new security concepts, technology, and practices and introduces them to the organization and system environment.

• Review requests for firewall changes and consult with teams on securing their applications.

• Collaborate with other team members and provide security training to other groups. Perform system and network security reviews

• Stay abreast of threats and vulnerabilities to computing resources and sensitive information. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor\\\'s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

• 5-7 years experience in Information Security.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Advanced knowledge of information security principles with focus in one or more IT areas (e.g. Networking, UNIX, Windows, Mac, Applications)

• Experience with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or similar regulations.

• Hands-on experience with common security tools and products (e.g. IDS/IPS, NGFW, WAF, SIEM/Log management, auditing/vulnerability assessment, forensics)

• CISSP or GIAC certification, or ability to obtain one within six months of hire
