REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. Masters preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 8 Years Years progressive professional success in a complex business and information systems environment within healthcare. A minimum of 3 years experience managing and/or implementing Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP systems required. 2 Years Related management experience.

SKILLS: Advanced - Excellent analytic skills, excellent written, verbal, and inter-personal skills. Should be action oriented and skilled at making data driven decisions. Must have ability to work and execute independently as well as across organizational boundaries. Ability to mentor staff in respective teams and across organizational structures. Should have excellent organizational and resource management skills.

Project Leadership, Management, & Execution Over ERP Systems - 40%
• Lead the planning and deployment of the new Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP technologies by delivering capabilities and needs defined by various business owners within THR and affiliates in support of THR’s long and short term goals.
• Provide technical guidance and/or business knowledge and direction to project team members in the areas of ERP both internal to ITS and external to the Business Owners.
• Work with peer ITS leaders and teams to assist in deployment of the new Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP technologies.
• Assist senior leadership in developing business use cases, as well as return on investment, related to the Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP technologies.
• Allocates and manages appropriate resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time, scope and budget.
• Monitors and reports overall performance of IS projects/programs on a regular basis to ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy.
• Makes recommendations for application’s life cycle, software systems development, systems maintenance, production activities and for necessary support resources.
• Plans implementation of new technologies, applications and interfaces. Coordinates vendor support and negotiates vendor contracts and manages vendor relationships.
• Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging systems and technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations.
• Investigates and resolves complex problems and coordinates efforts to provide innovative strategies and solutions.
• Responsible for support of legacy applications environment and other business systems not being replaced by Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP solution.
• Assure adherence to THR ITIL standards and processes.
• Meet or exceed established system availability targets and design, implement and manage the application infrastructure services and process required to meet these targets.
• Ensure full protection of all information assets through the application of best practice policies, procedures and practices.

Customer Engagement & Support - 30%
• Communicates with customers providing customer service, serving as “trusted adviser” and resolving problems to customers’ satisfaction.
• Serves as adviser to customers for technology driven business solutions.
• Meet and communicate regularly with all stakeholders of applications supported and collaborate to ensure the applications positively impact the business operations of THR.
• Coordinates development of Service Level Agreements for assigned customers, responsible for measurement, monitoring, and reporting progress against established goals. Implements remediation strategies where required.
• Remains current with new technology that has the potential to help the customer achieve the clinical and business objectives and Texas Health strategies.
• Partners with customer in business and strategic planning to assure provision of technology support and enables for achievement of business and clinical goals.

Financial & Resource Management - 15%
• Budgets, manages and allocates financial activities of the THR IS cost center(s) in accordance with defined objectives, priorities and system initiatives.
• Provides financial oversight for assigned areas.
• Ensures that expenditures are within the financial guidelines established in the capital and operating budgets.
• Creates and maintains staffing plan to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables.
• Responsible for proactive capacity planning for assigned applications, assuming availability of needed capital and operating funds to sustain operations and support business growth.
