RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensures the timely, complete and accurate exchange of information (written and verbal) and ideas. Informs senior management of pertinent information. Serves as a communication link between management, staff, and outside agents as needed. Serves as a content expert to the Board of Trustees and prepares reports that are professionally written and provide an accurate interpretation of the information.

1. Leads staff, management and physician committees in setting related goals to ensure seamless quality family centered care throughout the health-illness continuum. Leads and directs initiatives to improve patient and hospital operations and service quality. Delegates effectively by entrusting responsibility and authority to others. Assumes administrator on-call responsibilities.

2. Follows all safety rules while on duty, reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards.

FINANCE - 20%
1. Directs utilization of human, financial and physical resources within constraints of operating indicators. Appropriately utilizes benchmarking data to lead the delivery of high quality and cost effective patient care which is in concert with the philosophy of the Hospital.

GROWTH/INNOVATION - 20%
1. Sets goals and objectives and develops an implementation system to reach those goals. Leads development of strategies for creative and futuristic planning for delivery of services. Collaborates with medical staff, executives, hospital leaders, and hospital staff to assure goals are in congruence.

EDUCATION:-

Master’s Degree in health related field required. Valid Texas nursing license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Five years hospital or health care related experience with a minimum of three years management.
• Experience in leading hospital or system accreditation activities required.
• Must be able to demonstrate skills related to statistical and systems analysis.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

• Current Texas licensure or certification in specialty area of practice highly recommended.
• CPHQ preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Ability to flex schedule to meet needs of the role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to effectively interact professionally with all levels of personnel, management and physicians.
