Job Description

Perform and/or oversee design/analysis. Conceive and supervise Plant Layout (industrial, chemical or manufacturing) and General Arrangement Drawings.
Develop process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Material handling and process equipment selection/procurement.
Structural steel framing of industrial equipment.
Process piping and pump layout/design.
Preparation of contract documents.
Perform and/or oversee evaluation studies and develop reports.
Preparation of specifications.
Perform and/or oversee field work during design, analysis and construction phases.
Assist in monitoring project budgets and schedules.
Assist in developing proposals and attending meetings.
Perform and/or oversee submittal review process, including equipment fabrication drawings.
Assist in the preparation of proposals based on project assignments received from the Vice President.
Develop a project task list to define the scope of work and participating in presentations to clients.
Understand the requirements of the contract and assigning project tasks, budgets and schedules to design team members.
Provide technical guidance and assisting in the development of junior level staff.
Work with National and Local Building Codes.
Verify the accuracy and quality of all technical work.
Monitor project tasks to maintain budget, schedule and scope of work.
Prepare written reports and correspondence to client.
Review invoices before distribution to client.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering.


Proficient use of MS Office software.
Must have the ability to utilize computer systems as a tool to effectively manage projects.
Must understand CAD operations, and convey design to team for finalization.
Must have AutoCAD design ability.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
