Job Tools

Work with multiple data warehouse efforts with minimal supervision
* Gather, analyze and understand business requirements
* Develop, validate and implement efficient ETL code for data integration layers (data warehouse or data marts) to deliver multiple projects
* Optimize the data environment for efficient data access and monitor performance of data warehouse ETL processes to ensure service level agreements with our users are met and implement tuning as needed
* Manage the ETL processes and Informatica environments
* Follow best practice, guidelines/procedures and naming conventions with enterprise-wide data collection and extraction
* Work closely with database administrators and Unix engineers with database and infrastructure installations, designs and maintenance
* Provide production support for all ETL processes
* Plan and support lifecycle of data warehousing infrastructure components including database, operating system, ETL tools and various vendor products
* Maintain and manage technical meta data and documentation for data warehousing and ETL processes
* Serve as subject matter expert on assigned projects, production support areas and knowledge transfer to other team members

Skills:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Self-motivated hard worker with ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly
* Solid project management skills in planning and monitoring mid to large project in a cross-functional environment
* Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
* Team player with customer focus
* 8 years of experience in IT with relational database management systems (RDBMSs), with a minimum of 5 years experience with an ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) tool such as Informatica and 5+ years of dedicated end-to-end data warehouse implementation experience
* Administering an enterprise-wide data warehouse architecture design, experience with hardware, software and processes associated with data warehouse development and administration
* Solid experience using SQL, Erwin, and Unix shell scripting
* Knowledge of logical and physical models; work with customer to understand business requirements and translate to appropriate technical solution
