Job Title: Java Developer
Duration: 1+ Year
Location: Linthicum, MD
Position Type: Contract

• (5) + years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies development and support.
• Proven strong knowledge and experience with Development tools - Eclipse IDE, SVN/GIT, Spring/Struts/JPA/Hibernate, HTML/HTML5/CSS3, and Web Services.
• Strong proven knowledge of relational DB, SQL skills.
• Proven strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Strong healthcare industry knowledge.
• 8 +years of experience in the field or in a related area with Java/J2EE technologies.
• 8+ years of experience in Eclipse IDE, SVN/GIT, Spring/Struts/JPA/Hibernate, HTML/HTML5/CSS3, Web Services.
• A minimum of 4 years of front-end integration experience working with development teams on the deployment of web based applications (Java).
• Experience working with Mainframe, DB2 and SQL Stored Procedures.
• Experience in managing Mainframe databases.
• Proven ability to work with and build and maintain strong relationships with technical teams.

Description:- State of Maryland: Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE)

Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) created a website and call center operating under the name Maryland Health Connection (MHC). Through MHC, Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine their eligibility for advanced premium tax credits (APTC), cost sharing reductions (CSR) and public assistance programs such as Medicaid and the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP).

MHBE seeks Applications Programmers to support the MHBE. The Applications Programmers will be responsible for understanding, defining, analyzing, coding, evaluating, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing complex software applications for the development and maintenance of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (HBX) and related systems.
• Design, develop, maintain and support enterprise applications in Java/J2EE, Mainframe and DB2 technologies.
• Interface with business and IT teams to understand and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
• Develop and execute quality unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
• Work with business teams to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing.
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of software and application development.
• Adhere to all security, change control and client processes, tools and methodologies.
