Job Description

• 10 years of consulting experience with both Oracle Relational Database
• Management System (RDBMS) and Oracle Business Integration technologies;
• Seven years of consulting experience implementing OBIEE systems;
• Seven years of experience developing OBIEE system assessments and strategic plans for customers;
• Five years of consulting experience implementing security with OBIEE Systems.
• Five years hands-on experience with installation and configuration of OBIEE.
• Perform a Health Check assessment of OSC’s OBIEE system. The assessment must at minimum address the current state of the following:
 Server and software environment and architecture.
 Configuration.
 Capacity/sizing for future goals.
 Security – integration of Active Directory (AD) with Oracle database security, using AD authentication and authorization (e.g., data, objects, role mapping, etc.) for multiple systems.
 Development and migration approach; and Integration capabilities of OBIEE with the existing data warehouse and other data sources
• Complete and submit a written report summarizing the current state of OSC’s OBIEE system based on the Health check Assessment. The report must also include any changes recommended by the Consultant to enhance and improve the OBIEE system.
• Design and develop an enterprise-based strategy for expanding OSC’s implementation and usage of OBIEE software. The strategy should focus primarily on the user interface/application side of the software and address
• the conversion and/or rewriting of existing Oracle Business Intelligence reports and queries, the upgrade and/or changing of current interfaces, and the addition of new user functionality based on the greater capabilities of
• OBIEE software. The strategy should at minimum address the following key areas:
 Discoverer and Oracle Reports conversion vs. redesign – options;
 Best practices for development and migration;
 Dynamic reporting/query options;
 Identify new OBIEE technologies that will meet OSC needs;
 Approach for internal vs. internet access;
 Recommended architecture;
 Options for branding and UI design; and
 Recommended training and mentoring.
