OSC’s Division of the Chief Information Officer currently supports a data warehouse plus reporting and query systems based on Oracle technology. These have been implemented using various legacy Oracle products, including Oracle Warehouse Builder, Discoverer, and Oracle Reports. In the Oracle software platform portfolio, these products have been replaced with a newer set of tools, which fall within the family of software called Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. OSC is currently in the early phases of the transition to the new software. As of the end of

2015, OSC has completed the first production pilot project deployed using this technology.
The goals are to deploy OBIEE more broadly over time, replace all Oracle legacy tools, and add new capabilities, as appropriate.

Project will be a staff augmentation engagement to ensure OSC obtains the necessary knowledge and expertise required for the ongoing design and implementation of its OBIEE system.

Consultant will work directly with OSC staff (i.e., developers, administrators, and customers) to provide these services.

• Perform a Health Check assessment of OSC’s OBIEE system. The assessment must at minimum address the current state of the following:
 Server and software environment and architecture.

 Capacity/sizing for future goals.
 Security – integration of Active Directory (AD) with Oracle database security, using AD authentication and authorization (e.g., data, objects, role mapping, etc.) for multiple systems.
 Development and migration approach; and Integration capabilities of OBIEE with the existing data warehouse and other data sources
• Complete and submit a written report summarizing the current state of OSC’s OBIEE system based on the Health check Assessment. The report must also include any changes recommended by the Consultant to enhance and improve the OBIEE system.
• Design and develop an enterprise-based strategy for expanding OSC’s implementation and usage of OBIEE software. The strategy should focus primarily on the user interface/application side of the software and address
• the conversion and/or rewriting of existing Oracle Business Intelligence reports and queries, the upgrade and/or changing of current interfaces, and the addition of new user functionality based on the greater capabilities of
• OBIEE software. The strategy should at minimum address the following key areas:
 Discoverer and Oracle Reports conversion vs. redesign – options;
 Best practices for development and migration;

 Identify new OBIEE technologies that will meet OSC needs;
 Approach for internal vs. internet access;
 Recommended architecture;
 Options for branding and UI design; and
