Job Description

Establish and maintain quality procedures, ensuring that proper written procedures are in place for the production operations throughout the facility.
Analysis and Coordination of Field Returns.
Administration of Gauge Control Program.
Conducts and/or supports training programs with both production and inspection personnel on the proper use of gauges.
Maintain prints files throughout the plant.
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
Assist in process certification.
Review customers' purchase orders, contracts and change requests as required and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and control plans.
Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
Maintain access to customer websites and databases to assure compliance to customer specific requirements including PRR, QR, or other customer issue notifications.
Contributes to the Continuous Improvement efforts to help drive costs down and improve the overall plant performance.
Strong knowledge of engineering core tools and manufacturing processes such as APQP, six sigma & manufacturing specifications
Demonstrated ability to evaluate Control Plans, Process Flow diagrams, and conduct PPAPs.
Experience in PFMEA, process control plans and technical process documentation (Gage R&R's, Capability Studies, MSA, PPAP, Standardized Work Instructions).
Ability to read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings.
TS16949 background with experience as an auditor a plus.
Strong process knowledge of engineering changes
Disciplined problem solving and must be able to apply root cause problem solving techniques using 5y's, 8d's or similar approaches
Continuous Improvement Team involvement
Proven track record of handling customer inquiries, concerns and complaints in a professional and tactful manner
Be willing to travel as required
Prior Automotive Tier I/II experience is considered an asset
Expertise in the manufacture of pump technology is considered a plus
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)


Bachelor's degree required, (Engineering or other technical field desired).

5. ASQ certification preferred, but not required.
