Job Description

• 84 + months of relevant demonstrated technical experience in designing, implementing, and supporting; Enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements within project constraints.
• 84+ months of experience with designing and implementing architecture for large enterprise or government systems
• 84+ months of experience in translating requirements into the architecture for that solution and describing it through architecture and design artifacts
• 84+ months of expertise in project management from the perspective of task breakdown and scheduling design phase of the projects.
• 84+ months of experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server and visual analytics, business intelligence, and related ecosystem technologies
• At least 84 months of experience of significant ‘people and process’ skills and presenting a complex technical problem to cross functional team in laymen's terms
• At least 84 months of experience in mentoring and training the internal team on design and architecture best practices
• At least 84 months of experience of conceptualizing, designing and implementing Cloud solutions (Public, Private, Hybrid)
• At least 84 months of experience in utilizing one or more of four major enterprise frameworks as reference for solution Architecture – Zachman, The Open Group Architecture Framework(TOGAF), Federal Enterprise Architecture(FEA) and Gartner Methodologies
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

Description:State of New York: New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE)

The Illumination Program enhances the quality and cost effectiveness of OPT’s transportation operations and services by making changes to the technology supporting and informing business processes. Deployments will include On-Board Vehicle Technology such as GPS, Ridership Reporting and Video, Routing enhancements through the consolidation and release of upgraded routing technology, back-office enhancements to Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and enhancements to support services such as Inspections, Violations, Investigations, and Customer Service.

Responsibilities:
• Architect will be responsible for conversion of the requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created.
• Architect will be key player in “Buy vs Build” as well as “on-Premises vs Cloud” decisions.
• Architect will be performing multiple Proof-Of-Concept projects to understand suitability and mature of specific technologies of interest to the organization.
• Architect will be responsible for motivation and guidance of technical leads. Architect will focus on integrating various parts of the solution into one cohesive solution that solves the larger problem.
• Architect will be responsible for communicating; creating consensus and complete understanding around the architecture by making presentations to cross functional teams like development, project management and Infrastructure, Business Managers etc.
• Architect will document project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices applicable for entire organization.
• Architect will mentor and coach the development team on Architectural best practices through internal training sessions.
• The focus for this role will be to provide project level design direction and thought leadership and to help articulate a strategy to grow one or more business capabilities.
