Job Description:

· Works closely with the Database Administrators (DBA’s) to establish appropriate database files, tables, and dashboards

· Collaborate with server administrators and database administrators in conceptualizing and developing new programs to meet business requirements

· Work in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.

· Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

· Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades

· Develop the appropriate interfaces and links between software applications and databases through the use of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) tools



· Support business users by providing application support 24*7

· Establish and maintain user and administrator accounts

· Maintain system documentation

· Provide advice and training to end-users as required

· Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as required

· Understand and support all system interfaces for assigned applications

· Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI

· Collaborate with server administrators and database administrators to ensure proper integration of the environment

· Work closely with business and vendor to tune and troubleshoot applications

· Provides second level of technical support for all corporate systems and software components

· Create documentation and enable production support team to tackle Level 2 support issues

· Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.

· Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the assigned tasks

· Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines

· Provide project support as required for system upgrades and requests for new functionality

· Write programming scripts to enhance functionality

· Provide guidance to junior level IT Staff

· Provides support in the area of process improvements & automations.

· Provides support to security standards and SOX Compliancy.

· Assists with Disaster Recover / Business Recovery Planning & Testing

· Monitor assigned software applications, document and analyze problems

· Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement process improvements and automation for application and system monitoring

· Leads and participates in efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and new releases

· Tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs.

· Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs

· Develop work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasks

· Liaise with vendor support on all issues

· Responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
