2. To provide leadership for the department and serve as leadership model. In partnership with operational leadership, serves as the clinical leader for the hospital. Develop and plan for nursing leadership team and leadership roles; mentor nursing skills. Monitor performance management, recruitment and retention activities.
Effectively manages change and fosters innovation; promotes and models teamwork within Patient Care Services. Engages and inspires people. Promotes name recognition and market image for the services provided both within and outside CHN.
Demonstrates current knowledge about national and local issues affecting health care delivery and the discipline. Creates a work environment that exemplifies Magnet characteristics and culture .Promotes positive performance management of all direct reports as measured by achieving organizational goals for staff satisfaction and through direct leadership observation.

Qualifications:-
Education Required: Master’s degree in Nursing, Management,Business, or another related field.
Required: National Incident Management System (NIMS) class to be completed within 6 mo of position date.
Licensure
Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License

Experience Required:
8 years progressive related management, business and strategic leadership experience includes management of department of service line, revenue accountability, contract management and staff management, such as network director, senior director or executive level position experience.
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, the Board, business, and the general public. Must be able to conceive and construct long range strategies and demonstrate personal traits that included motivation, leadership, professionalism, good judgment, personal integrity and trust. Team building, system thinking, complex problem solving, negotiating and influencing, change and conflict management, and business strategy development. Effective large and small group speaking and listening skills.
Preferred: Network director or executive level position in a hospital setting is preferred
Skills Required:
Demonstrated understanding and ability to manage hospital budgeting/fiscal processes to meet defined financial targets.
Strong knowledge of the major laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding healthcare delivery.
Current knowledge of healthcare trends and best practices. Quality improvement principles, business and management techniques and principles, strategic planning, business strategy development, large project management.
Knowledge of current uses of technology in business and healthcare field. Ability to use personal productivity tools (i.e.; Microsoft Office). Understands the Nurse Practice Act and implications within the organization.
Technology
Required: Must be able to transport self to various work sites. When using own vehicle, must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance that meets the minimum standards for the Arizona. Must be able to work holidays, evenings/nights and weekends as needed.
