Position: Lead Business Analyst – Risk & Compliance

Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance team. This role involves leading a team of Business Analysts to implement key risk initiatives and technology solutions, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, business intelligence, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts to meet compliance and risk management objectives across supported areas.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders from small to large business units to implement key risk initiatives and technology solutions.
Project Management: Manage end-to-end technology delivery projects, ensuring they align with organizational standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Data Management: Oversee data management activities, including data modeling, ensuring data integrity, and improving data quality standards.
Requirements Translation: Translate complex business requirements into detailed data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) and functional specifications.
Agile Practices Facilitation: Facilitate Agile practices such as Scrum, Product Ownership, User Story creation, and Sprint planning using tools like Jira.
SDLC Oversight: Drive all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, and deployment of systems and tools.
Data Pipeline Development: Partner with developers to implement new data pipelines and enhance existing data infrastructure.
Documentation Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including Functional Specifications Documents (FSDs), user stories, test cases, and technical specifications.
GRC Application: Apply Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles to ensure adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
Data Analytics Utilization: Utilize data analytics tools and languages such as Python, Dataframes, Excel/VBA, and SQL for analysis and reporting.
BI Support: Support Business Intelligence initiatives by leveraging platforms like Tableau and Dremio to deliver actionable insights.
Regulatory Program Engagement: Engage in complex regulatory technology programs to ensure compliance with industry mandates.
Education:- BS/BA degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years leading Business Analyst teams to ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met.
3+ years in Data Management, including data modeling, data integrity, and data quality.
3+ years of experience in BI solutions (e.g., Dremio/Tableau).
5+ years writing Functional Specifications Documents (FSDs).
5+ years with technical requirements, design, testing, and implementation of tools and technologies.
5+ years writing User Stories, test cases using BDD (Gherkin language).
3+ years of participation in complex technology programs required for regulatory business requirements.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and SQL.
Deep understanding of SDLC processes and best practices.
Experience with data modeling tools, such as Power Designer.
Agile Methodology experience, including exposure to full-spectrum concepts (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, User Story creation/composition, Jira).
5+ years working with developers to implement new data paths.
Knowledge and understanding of data modeling tools, such as Power Designer.
