Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist organizes and conducts physical therapy programs in the hospital, schools, and contracting agencies to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patient reach his maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. Works with patients of all ages, including neonatal, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics._x000D_ _x000D_ Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities_x000D_ _x000D_ Performs a complete evaluation and assessment of each patient based upon current practice standards for diagnosis. Clearly identifies Physical Therapy problems, structural or functional abnormality, medical versus non-medical problems and acknowledges other potential health problems as they relate to the patient._x000D_ _x000D_ Incorporates physiological, psychological and psychosocial needs of the patient into the development of the treatment program and goals._x000D_ _x000D_ Selects and appropriately implements the correct evaluation procedures based upon current practice standards for the diagnosis and based upon individual need._x000D_ _x000D_ Develops a treatment plan that is comprehensive, based upon analysis of gathered data, patient goals, acuity, previous level of function and barriers. Explains and justifies the rationale for the treatment selected._x000D_ _x000D_ Effectively applies treatment techniques appropriate to the patient's needs including physical agents, therapeutic exercise procedures, developmental activities, neurophysiological treatment techniques, functional activities and manual therapy._x000D_ _x000D_ Effectively adapts the patient's environment to reduce or eliminate barriers to optimal function, including but not limited to acute care, work site evaluation, home safety evaluations and equipment._x000D_ _x000D_ Job Requirements_x000D_ _x000D_ Must be well versed in all aspects of physical therapy. Graduation from an accredited PhysicalTherapy Program. _x000D_ _x000D_ Must be licensed to practice Physical Therapy. _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Must show evidence of good analytical assessment skills, independent decision making abilities and excellent skills in treatment documentation._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ 1. Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program. _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ 2. Licensed Physical Therapist. _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ 3. Able to show evidence of good analytical assessment skills, independent decision making abilities and excellent skills in treatment documentation._x000D_ _x000D_
