New England Dairy Company is seeking an experienced and skilled maintenance technician. The successful candidate will train on day shift Monday -- Friday and transition to nightshift after the training period is complete. The night shift position is four nights per week and rotating weekend coverage plus overtime and vacation coverage as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -
Adherence to all safety and Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP)
Respond to breakdowns of production and support equipment.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production and support equipment.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems.
Installation and troubleshooting of instrumentation
Temperature controllers, flow transmitters, etc.
Electrical and motor controls VFDs, photo eyes, switches, etc.
Hydraulic systems.
Fabricate and weld MIG and TIG
Work independently as well as part of a team.
Rotating "On Call" for emergency and weekend coverage.
Requirements_.
A high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ year's relevant experience is required.
College or two year technical degree preferred.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with PLCs and process control systems.
HVAC, boilers and ammonia refrigeration system a plus.
