Minimum of 60 months of recent experience installing, configuring, and administering IBM/AIX systems on IBM Power hardware.

Minimum 48 months of recent experience installing, implementing and supporting IBM Virtual Input/Output (VIO) Servers using the Advanced Power Virtualization (APV) features including the use of NPIV, Partition Mobility and VLAN Tagging

Minimum 60 months of recent experience installing, configuring, upgrading and administering enterprise class SAN attached storage such as EMC VNX, IBM DS8300, DS3574, v7000, and HP XP storage systemsMinimum 60 months of recent experience installing, configuring, upgrading and administering enterprise backup solutions such as EMC NetWorker, EMC Avamar, Tivoli Storage Manager, and Symantec NetBackupMinimum of 48 months of recent experience administering, architecting, and problem-solving IBM Enterprise Data Storages and SAN Volume Controller (SVC)Minimum of 60 months of recent experience with system performance monitoring/analysis and information system auditing.Minimum 48 months of recent experience in using NFS archiving, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery (SYSBACK), IBM network Installation Manager (NIM), HP/Ignite, vDump and tar software Minimum of 48 months of recent experience with Korn shell and scripted systems utilities.Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fieldDescription: Staff will perform the full range of system administration tasks as defined by the Manager of UNIX Systems, such as, but not limited to:Install, configure, upgrade and administer IBM AIX 7.1 & 6.1 Operating Systems on Power5, Power6 and Power7 systemsInstall, configure, support, upgrade and administer IBM Virtual Input/Output (VIO) Servers using Advanced Power Virtualization (APV) features including the use of NPIV, Partition Mobility and VLAN Tagging.Install, upgrade, configure and administer day to day management of IBM Hardware Management ConsoleInstall, configure, upgrade and administer enterprise class SAN attached storage such as EMC VNX, IBM DS8300, DS3574, v7000, and or HP XP storage systemsInstall, configure, upgrade and administer IBM San Volume Controller (SVC) and administer fiber SAN infrastructure on such hardware as IBM 2109-M48 SAN Director Switches

Install, configure, upgrade and administer enterprise backup solutions such as EMC NetWorker, EMC Avamar, Symantec NetBackup, Tivoli Storage ManagerConfigure NFS for file archival and Sysback along with NIM Server configurationCreate, modify and manage KORN shell scriptsUse of system performance monitoring tools such as IBM Director, IBM TPC, Ganglia and Big Brother.
